Walking down the street on a beautiful Sunday morning, heading to a great dim sum restaurant around the corner, we came across this flower/plant vendor on a street corner, taking a break to split a bulb.He passed us minutes later as we were going into the restaurant - Yuan Yuan. He was heading to his next stop! That is Xiangyang Park across the street. More on that park in the next post!
Some silly girls finding new ways to use their chopsticks!
Mahjongg. We are at Julie's who has the table, the mahjongg tiles and the lovely wooden, carved tile stands. When starting the game, it is very important that everyone puts their hands on the tiles to mix them up and then build the walls. Jackie and Alyssa, all proficient players.
Blue cap head up is Storey. She was warming up for a swim meet last week. The other school cancelled at the last moment, but the meet went on as planned. Ridley and I got to be timers, getting soaked in the process. It was a blast! Storey brought home 3 blue ribbons and 2 third place. Her first ever meet!
Pole painting! Everything is getting the once over. This worker is responsible for the lower, reachable portions of the pole, while his counterpart moves ahead with the paint and does the upper reaches.
His bike is filled with the required paint, and he is quickly followed by the lower half partner. Just something I haven't seen in America - pole painting on bike by hand! Does the US even paint poles???
The sidewalk of Xiangyang, the street around the corner from us. The Xiangyang Park is on the right, the leaves overhead bring dappled light onto the street while the blue skies peak through the rustling branches overhead.
