Coconut Paradise

Mom and I had a little Paradise for lunch - Coconut Paradise - a Thai restaurant around the corner from our house. Incredibly tasty and spicy papaya salad, and, of course, Thai Ice Tea. I had my language lesson this morning, and then after lunch we had a leisurely manicure/pedicure session. These are always fun, meeting new people.
A quick note on another faster than lightening project on our street. The girls and I headed out to our street for their bus pick up at 7:10 Monday morning. Overnight the street had been ripped up. Tuesday morning we went out, and the street, overnight, had been completely paved. I guess it dried on Wednesday - there was never a street closure - and we went out this morning to a freshly painted road. It was so painless. A new street, and we never saw or experienced any disruption.

We walked out of the house Wednesday morning, and the house across the lane from us was getting bamboo scaffolding. The outside of the house is getting scraped off and replastered. Down the lane innumerable amounts of bamboo had been delivered. By this evening, I saw another house surrounded in scaffolding. The beautification of Shanghai continues.

Happy Birthday Storey!! Can't wait to see a picture of you in your costume.
Great picture of LuLu at the Thai restaurant. Green Papaya salad is my favorite Thai dish!
Love, Angela
