This is a "Where's Waldo" opportunity. This is UN day at the school where over 58 countries are represented. Paige and Storey are both in this picture - Paige sitting a couple of rows in front of Storey. See if you can find them!Storey trying to hide from me as the American contingent makes it way to the field.
Paige, with her friend Tabatha who is holding the flag, leading the way for the Americans.
Did I already show this? Our lane under bamboo scaffolding for the complete repaint of the entire lane area. It has been quite a production with workers moving bamboo around every day from building to building. I t is amazing how quickly it goes up and comes down. (They do start work at 7 - 7 days a week. I am not sure when they end because we can hear pounding into the evening.
We had a great treat tonight and got together with Susan and Tuck Spaulding from Kansas City who are on the last leg of a fabulous China trip. They have gone with the Nelson-Atkin Museum in Kansas, who pairs up with the Met in the services they use, and have had a remarkable experience. We had a lovely dinner at Lynn Shanghai, a thoroughly modern restaurant around the corner from their hotel, the Portman. We had our own room, and indulged in many wonderful Chinese dishes.
Ridley has now boarded the plane home, and we will see him tomorrow afternoon. Yeah!!!! It has been a long time, and Grandma Lu is ready to go home! A little steak and potatoes in her dreams!
